Dr Marcin Ferenc has graduated with an honorable mention from the Pomeranian Medical University in
Szczecin, Poland. H e has been working as an assistant in the Pomeranian Medical University Hospital
in Szczecin. He defended his doctoral dissertation on 'Static and dynamic parameters of the hip following
total joint replacement in patients with unilateral osteoarthritis' in 2005.
Dr Ferenc currently works as a resident in the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedic Surgery in
Sokołowski Regional Hospital in Szczecin. He performs about 300 operations a year. He has extensive
post graduate training and practical experience in total hip and knee replacement (primary and revisions)
and arthroscopy of the knee joint. He has introduced some new operating techniques to daily practice of
the hospital (especially in trauma surgery). He has completed special AO/ASIF International courses on
operative fracture treatment and is national trauma courses instructor and lecturer. In 2004 he joined
Dom Lekarski as an orthopedic surgeon performing more 200 operations a year (athroscopic and joint
replacement procedures).
He is a member of Polish Orthopaedic and Traumatology Society and AO Alumni Association.
He speaks fluent English.
